HELLO!! I know, it’s been a while. Sorry about that – hope you didn’t miss me too much. I took a little break and now I’m back. No big reason or story, except I needed to take a much needed mental break 🙂
While I was gone, I got a few projects done – more on those later. I’ve also been contemplating which direction to go with some of the rooms in my house. One thing I’ve been thinking of changing is to paint the frames of our windows black.
The window frames in my dining room and living room are currently white. Here is the one in the dining room.
And this is the one above the front door…
Don’t mind the spider webs… I wish I could say those were Halloween decor, but alas, I just don’t clean them very often. Ha! I have had a devil of a time trying to figure out what kind of window treatments to put on this window. Believe me, I’m not in love with the shape of the window and if I could afford new windows, I’d be all over it! But the windows are in decent shape, so they are not even on the list of things that need changing/fixing/updating.
Lately, I’ve been noticing a lot of window frames being painted black. So, of course, I created a Pinterest board, which you can find here. Here are a few of my favorites…
I love those herringbone floors too!
Again, those herringbone floors have me drooling!
So, what do you think? Would you paint your window frames black? Since ours aren’t framed, I don’t have to worry about whether to paint those white or black, but would you paint yours black or white? Would you go with gloss paint, or flat??
Thanks for stopping by!
