Crazy to think that just a few months ago, I didn’t know any of you and you didn’t know me, and now there are 500 people on Facebook that “like” my little blog. To celebrate, I’m giving one of you a present!
I pondered this giveaway for a while now, and I think that it would be fitting for me to give away something that helped get my blog noticed. My chair has been pinned on Pinterest over 100,000 times. I know, it’s crazy, right?! It’s brought thousands of visitors to my blog, and for that, I am very grateful.
I used Tulip Fabric Spray Paint to makeover this chair and it has become one of my favorite products to work with. Although normally used for clothing, I found it works great updating furniture with upholstery that needs a little love, and I’ve used it for three different projects around my house. That being the case, I think it’s fitting to give away the product that brought you here in the first place! If you win, you will receive…
3 Bottles Tulip Fabric Spray Paint – Dark Teal
3 Bottles Tulip Fabric Spray Paint – Red (not pictured)
1 Tulip Tie Dye Kit
1 Set Tulip Sticky Fabric Stencils
1 Set Tulip Sponge Brushes
2 Tulip Soft Fabric Paints
1 Tulip Slick Dimensional Fabric Paint
1 Tulip Matte Dimensional Fabric Paint
No, the chair is not part of the prize, sorry!
So, here are the rules:
To Enter: You must “Like” the Pinterest Addict on Facebook if you haven’t already.
AND
Comment HERE, on this blog post, and tell me what piece of furniture (or piece of clothing) you’d like to update or create. Or just say “Hi!” – I’m not picky 🙂 Please be sure to include your email address, as that is how I will let you know if you’ve won!
Giveaway closes: Sunday, July 29th at 10 pm EST
Number of winners: one
Prize Ships: The United States
Winner will be drawn at random on July 30th, using random.org
Please note: one entry per email address is permitted.
Pretty easy, right?
Legal stuff that must be disclosed: Tulip has not paid me to say anything about their product, nor would I ever say anything that I didn’t truly believe, even if they did pay me 🙂 They did send me a box of goodies though after the post went viral. Cool, huh?
UPDATE: I just wanted to say that I’ve been reading all the comments and I love how amazingly kind you all are. I wish I could respond to each one, but I don’t want to mess up the drawing. I will respond after the drawing is over 🙂 Thanks again for liking me!

I love the idea to redo a chair without changing the fabric. I have a gold chair that my hubby’s grandmother gave us. Thinking I will try this when I decide what color. Enjoy your blog!

Yes, the chair is what brought me here in the first place. Thanks for sharing your creative ideas!

Hi Eliesa! I’ve been following your blog ever since I discovered you on Pinterest ~ and now, I am following you on FaceBook too! I have an old “telephone seat/desk/bench/secretary/thingy” that I would love to make over! Do you know what I mean? It has a small desk/table top on one side and is a padded bench. It’s very pretty but the woodwork is kind of an ugly, dark stain and the upholstery is an outdated paisley. I think it would be awesome to give it a makeover ~ although, I’d probably be begging you for advice as I’ve never undertaken quite such a major project as this! I hope I win!!!

As you know already, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea! I have a barrel-back upholstery chair that I’m dying to update! It has a low back & it’s only about 36″ tall, but it’s the perfect height for me so I don’t want to get rid of it. It’s only about 3 yrs old but I sit in this chair all the time, so it’s starting to look a little worn. Love your blog & congrats on your 500 followers!!

Love your willingness to try something new. I’m not as adventurous though I’m hoping to try – once my little ones aren’t as underfoot as they are now. As for blogging, need to make it more of a priority – and need to broaden what I write about. Interested to see what’s next for you. And oddly by coincidence, we started gluten-free at the same time. Good luck!

Hey Girl. Congrats on the 500!!!! You’ll have 5,000 before you know it!!!! I know a LOT of my friends have started reading your blog since I pinned you and tagged you on my blog and FB page!! The more the merrier, I say!! …
Now, what I would love to do in a couple months when I and hubs move out of the in-laws, is to make a glass topped display coffee/end/side-table…or maybe a glass topped display table for my entrance hall. I would really love to do the coffee/end/side table tho…..I had one years ago and would change the display items according to the season. Of course, Christmas was my favorite!! I did antique glass ornaments from my grandparents and parents tree one year, another year i had a miniature Christmas train with “snow” set up in it, and one year I had miniature gift boxes and Vintage Christmas Cards under the glass. I so want to be able to do that again!!! Anyway, That’s my piece I want to Re-do and pin!!!! Much Love to You and Yours!!!!

Congrats on hitting your milestone, and thank you for offering such a generous giveaway!
Seeing your chair on Pinterest enticed me pay your blog a visit, and am I glad I did!!! WOW… if only we were neighbors! ; ) I painted a gorgeous 40’s vanity chair’s upholstery with a different type of fabric paint many years ago ( long before I knew about adding medium gel ), but it turned out so scratchy and hard that I can’t sit in it without having a towel covering the seat! No longer was the texture soft and plush, but more like a bristle brush! I still have a dye remover left over from my tie-dying days, so I’m wanting to see if it will come to my rescue, so I can try your technique. It’s amazing how products have progressed over the years, and seeing your illustration, was just the motivation I needed to give it another shot!
Thank you for sharing your incredible creativity, and for not being intimidated to step outside the box! Simply put… YOU ROCK!

Your clever painted chair idea led me to you and boy am I glad it did! Please keep the ideas coming! I wish we were neighbors too! What fun that would be! My next project will be painting/distressing an old Brazilian mahogany buffet. I started sanding it to refinish it but now am leaning towards painting the body a turquoise color then washing that with a dark brown and staining the top dark. What do you think? Love love love your blog! 🙂 Nadine.
